I've got some bad news and some good news. We all want the bad news first, don't we?
The StayLDS site will be closing its doors when the service contract expires in early February 2026. This was a decision made by the moderator team, mostly down to low traffic, low participation, and the cost of contract renewal. The exact date of the shutdown is not known but it may be as early as the first week in February.
The good news is that we're not losing the forum. Both forum posts and users have migrated to a new site that is owned and operated by LDS Faith Journeys.

Should you visit the new site, you will see all of the forums and nearly all of the posts that can be found here. I believe all that's missing are posts made over the last two or three months. StayLDS users have also been migrated to the new site. All you need to do to get up and running on the new site is reset your password.

The username/email address for the new site is the same username/email address you use here. Once you reset your password with the new site you should be up and running.
I don't believe any private messages migrated over to the new site, so you may want to take this time to save off any private messages that are special to you or any contact information you have for your friends here.
We're getting into Oscar speech territory and I'm starting to hear the music but lastly I wanted to thank everyone for their efforts to keep the site up and running after all these years.
I wanted to especially thank John Delhin, Brian Johnston, and Old-Timer for having the vision to create the site. A thank you to all of the moderators that have kept a vigil during all these years and a very big thank you to everyone that has participated, whether it be by actively posting or even just laying eyes on the content and giving it consideration. You've all made a positive impact in people's lives that cannot be measured.
The earliest posts I've found here date back to November 2008! It's certainly been a ride. This isn't the end of the faith journey, just a new beginning. See you on the other side.

Thank you Ben and GT for all your efforts to get this project done!
We couldn't have done it without you!
