Something that has always bugged in the church is the teachings if you commit murder or deny the Holy Ghost, you can't be forgiven for them, even if you believe you've repented. That doesn't make sense. So if you murder or deny the Holy Ghost you can't be forgiven for them even if you are repentant....

That was a great quote. It helps me put into perspective that following our church leaders doesn't mean almost worshiping them, like we tend to do to much in our church.

I think I understand the point McConkie was trying to make, but (I know I shouldn't say this) it sounds like he was a bit of a jerk at times. Him giving that remark about black men never ever being able to hold the priesthood was crap.
