Re: An ominous developement for Middle Way Mormons

Oh, one last awesome and anonymous quote: The thing is, none of this is really advocacy. These are support groups. There is no central tenet or doctrine in these groups and they run the gamut from true believing mormons to ex-mormons and everything in between. Everything I have seen has been people ...

Re: An ominous developement for Middle Way Mormons

One nice thing about having a goofy photo (of my own goofy mug) for my avatar is I'm not likely to be taken as a serious threat to anybody or resource for anybody. On the other hand, I'm always happy to to explain how committed I am to the LDS Church. My phone number is 4 8 0 2 0 1 5 4 7 6 One...

Polygamy and Brother Joseph's DNA

What do we know about children of Joseph Smith's 30+/- marriages? Are there DNA tests of alleged descendents? Are there studies of contemporary attitudes toward birth control and abortion? I'd like to see all related information laid out on the StayLDS table if we are up to it.

Re: An ominous developement for Middle Way Mormons

Cwald, before I read your emphatic message, I already had in mind to say what I am saying here. When it comes right down to it, the word "apostate" is nothing more than a fighting word like "cult". It means traitor, bad guy, dupe of satan, enemy of the saints. That's how it was used in the early day...

Re: An ominous developement for Middle Way Mormons

A heretic has a different testimony and she is vocal. An apostate forsakes the group and she is vocal. Generally, it seems prophetesses/prophets are heretics, not apostates.

Re: An ominous developement for Middle Way Mormons

I like what Ray said. I'm a Mormon, not a hyphenated Mormon. I'm on the same team. We are on the same team here. You forgot to say period full stop! It's cool to answer that recommend question "no". I always answer it "yes"; life's full of twisted affiliations. They give me a recommend anyway...

Re: An ominous developement for Middle Way Mormons

10-4, Comrade Cwald. I will instruct Communications personnel to put out an APB to the outpost chapters of the Movement to implement Strategy 12 worldwide. I knew the day would come that we would need Strategy 12; I just didn't know it would come so soon. Out.

Re: Mother's Day Report

The lady who spoke, talked a lot about how it's a sin to throw your baby up in the air because it "dislodges" their brains and makes them "retarded." No I am not joking. I enjoyed it all personally - very entertaining. . As the mother of a son who has autism and moderate mental retardation, I find ...
