First Vision
I also want to highlight a 6 episode podcast put out by the Joseph Smith Papers Project. I think they do some amazing work and tell some amazing stories about the First Vision. https://www.josephsmithpapers.org/articles/the-first-vision-a-joseph-smith-papers-podcast I also found this video on YouTub...

Saints Vol 2 podcast
I want to say how impressed I am with the Saints Volume 2 podcast. In the latest episode (16) they talk about the myths of the handcart disaster that aren't really true. For example, there is a woman that carried people through the icy water. It is likely that more than 6 young men carried people, a...

Re: Was Jesus Married?
I know the Fundamentalists claim that Jesus was Married, but in my opinion, it is poorly sourced and there are a lot of leaps of logic to get there. I spoke with Anne Wilde who was a plural wife of Ogden Kraut who wrote "Jesus Was Married." I spoke to her and an apostle for a polygamist group (Chris...

Sick Cattle, Strong drinks for washing your bodies
I had a really cool interview with apostle Lachlan MacKay of the Community of Christ, and wanted to share a few of the amazing things he said concerning the Word of Wisdom. D&C 89:7 reads, “And, again, strong drinks are not for the belly, but for the washing of your bodies.” Who washes their bodies?...

Re: Struggle with those against the Church on social media
I have the same problem. I purposely avoid reading comment sections in newspapers because it is such a hate-fest. I think avoidance is the best you can do. There was an interesting post at W&T on this phenomenon: https://wheatandtares.org/2018/01/19/ho ... m-a-holes/

Re: The Rescue is Back on The Menu!
I remember when my kids would be told to apologize to a sibling. They would give this flippant, "sorry." No sincerity or ownership. I understand what you are saying and agree to a large part. On the other hand, our current POTUS never learned that skill. In other words, even if "sorry" is not since...

Re: Joseph Smith wasn't actually a Polygamist...
I know Rock, but he relies on the RLDS for his sources that Joseph wasn't a polygamist. While I know it is appealing, Rock's just plain wrong on this topic. There's simply too much evidence. Here's my interview where Brian Hales refutes Rock's points.

Yes, we talked about that in our interview. Jerald really took Ed Decker to town after the screening. They were a bit perplexed!

Re: Dieter Update
I can see how Uchtdorf is "uniquely qualified" to lead Europe since he is a European. I wonder about one thing though. For those who think Uchtdorf was "too progressive," if Nelson had a concern about that, would he put Uchtdorf in charge of Correlation? I've heard rumors that the Brethren were upse...
