My first thought was to let your son have the experience (assuming he wants to go) then
discuss the experience with him when he gets back.

A similar question for me is: why didn't he choose Elder Uchtdorf?

To me he is highly energetic.

He has always been one of my favorites. I didn't understand when Pres Nelson didn't choose him.

Even though I go to church, have a calling & a TR, I don't get a lot out of General Conference. I wish I did. Maybe I need to make a greater effort to get involved or get into the spirit. (Whatever that means.) For the talks I did see & hear, they seemed to be too choreographed. Too perfect....

During Conference did anyone mention the attach & deaths in Michigan?
I know they paid tribute to President Nelson.

It would of been nice if they would mention future plans to safeguard meeting houses too.
(I doubt if they did.)
