I just gave this a good amount of thought and checked my calendar - I have not been to a ward activity this year.
I just checked my calendar. We haven't had a ward activity this year. :P

We save it all for Halloween and Christmas.
 Each ward should try to have at least one quarterly IMHO, and if not best to organize unofficial ones.

Lots of religions have young adult programs that include worship services. Just saying.
I see through my glass, darkly - as I play my saxophone in harmony with the other instruments in God's orchestra. (h/t Elder Joseph Wirthlin)

Even if people view many things differently, the core Gospel principles (LOVE; belief in the unseen but hoped; self-reflective change; symbolic cleansing; striving to recognize the will of the divine; never giving up) are universal.

My ward has activities. I just don't usually go. I agree that for those who desire that sociality, which seems to be most, the activities should be there.

ETA: I also don't think people who choose not to attend, for whatever reason or no reason at all, should be the subject of attempted shaming. I'm pretty good at deflecting that stuff, usually using humor, but I see it happen to others.
In the absence of knowledge or faith there is always hope.

Once there was a gentile...who came before Hillel. He said "Convert me on the condition that you teach me the whole Torah while I stand on one foot." Hillel converted him, saying: That which is despicable to you, do not do to your fellow, this is the whole Torah, and the rest is commentary, go and learn it."

Some much better run than others. The RCs seem to do it well - the rest less so round here.
