Re: My Rant - cleaning the building

I agree I preferred having the custodians. That said, by saying that I haven't helped the situation at all and neither did my rant but it made me feel better. Are you, DJ and Cadence, proposing that we just stop cleaning? I do have a follow up question, I wasn't around much before they did away such...

My Rant - cleaning the building

*** warning this is a rant and nothing more read on if you want *** What is it with people and cleaning the building? If 10 of us show up it takes less than 30 minutes, but, if 2 show up it takes hours. Why is it that it is always the same two that show up every week, do the others not use the build...

Re: Considering leaving the church forever

Okay, I am a little confused as I never call anyone without a reason even if the reason is just to hang out, and in my opinion this is asking something from them, their time. I call people for many reasons, to ask for something, to commiserate something, to find out what they have been up to but alw...

Re: Linger Longer?

Sorry, I misunderstood. What I was asking here was, if you were EQP in my ward, what would you do about Sunday meetings? As EQP you would attend PEC and ward council, both of which are held Sunday mornings. It is interesting you should ask. I am about to find out as I recently (as in Sunday) was ask...

Re: Linger Longer?

I obviously agree with you on this part. What if you were YMP or EQP? All the meetings you are supposed to be at are on Sunday mornings here. As I said, there are exceptions to every rule. Depending on which family member. each responds differently in that regard. Personally, I am currently in an E...

Re: Linger Longer?

Sorry for posting twice, but I forgot to respond to the Sunday meetings in general. My family and extended family doesn't do them as a general rule ever since the first presidency said that Sundays were for the family and we aren't afraid to tell people that. I have not been to a CES fireside in ove...

Re: Linger Longer?

I have been in a number of wards that do linger longer and yes those wards were young single wards... IMO they have never been branded as compulsory and really were just a time for ward members to get together and socialize in a none structured way. Personally, I do not like to stay to them and don'...

Re: Home teaching?

To summarize, I wouldn't leave my house if I didn't have to. (Okay a little too much of a generalization there.) I am like Dash. I enjoy home teaching when the family I go to likes to have me come. I go in cycles about doing it generally. I am currently in a cycle where I do it, but, that is as much...

Re: I feel like I have one foot out the door

In my opinion you have received excellent advice and I just wish I could world advice in such an easy way. I just wanted to add something on the Home teaching subject. Talking with the bishop on Sunday he made a comment to the effect, we all know not everyone will be home taught. My point here is to...

Re: General Conference April 2014

He has been going downhill for some time. He didn't stand for the last conference (if my memory is correct). This has the sound of a fair well talk.
